One movie I watched growing up was called Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it was one of my favorite movies to rewatch due to the humor and personality it has. So when I was assigned to make a scratchboard based on a non-illustrated person, I knew immediately what I was going to do. For those who don't know, a scratchboard is a layered white piece of paper covered with clay, and black ink which, when scratched, shows the white paper at the bottom. I scratched the paper to form the shadows, as well as create the texture in the image to bring the king to life. Lastly, I went in digitally to fix some of the errors left in by scratching.
